Refunds & Returns - Textbooks
Textbook returns will be subject to a 25% re-stocking fee
Your book(s) must be in the same condition as when purchased and accompanied by the original, unaltered receipt (sorry, photocopies not accepted). New books in which writing is apparent and/or have been damaged may not be returnable at the discretion of the Textbook Department. All post refund period textbook sales are final.
Textbooks may be returned without re-stocking fee for the following reasons:
- You drop a class in which you were officially enrolled
- Your class was canceled and the Campus Store has received notification from the college;
- Your professor has changed textbooks and notified the Campus Store.
The last day for refund - A 25% Re-stocking Fee may Apply
Friday, October 1, 2020 for the Fall 2021 Quarter.
Refunds & Returns - Book Rentals
No Refunds on rentals. Rented out items with defects may by exchanged within 24 hours for the same item. Items not returned by the due date will automatically be billed to your account at current used price and will result in an academic hold including withholding grade(s) and transcript. Outstanding rental charges will be sent to collections after 30 days.
Refunds & Returns - Digital Books (e-Books)
Digital textbooks (eBooks) can be purchased in store or online (http://books.foothill.edu). A non-activated eBook must be returned to our store, with receipt, no later than the textbook refund dates listed above. Once an eBook has been activated at bookstore site (http://books.foothill.edu), it is no longer returnable. Refunds & Returns - Inclusive Access Program
Inclusive Access course materials may be returned for refund on or before the "ADD/LAST DAY DROP" date. You must request refund in person if you purchase your inclusive access in-store, if you purchase on-line, email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org, include your order number and the class you wanted to refund.
Refunds & Returns - General Merchandise
Non-text merchandise may be returned within 7 days of purchase for a refund or exchange, unless otherwise stated, when accompanied by the original, unaltered receipt (sorry, photocopies not accepted). Items purchased on sale are not eligible for refund or exchange.
Refunds & Returns - Computer Software
Computer software may be returned within 7 days of purchase for a refund or exchange, unless otherwise stated, when accompanied by the original, unaltered receipt (sorry, photocopies not accepted). All computer software is not returnable to the Campus Store, if opened.
Some manufacturers offer a 30-day trial period. That condition of sale is with the manufacturer of the software and not with the Campus Store. Because of the extremely low prices offered by the Campus Store, you must deal directly with the manufacturer in such cases.
Some Merchandise cannot be returned to the Campus store after purchase.

We will gladly exchange any defective merchandise unless the manufacturer's warranty requires other means of replacement or repair. The Campus Store will never knowingly sell defective merchandise, so please report to us your concerns regarding the quality of what we sell. Additionally, we cannot guarantee the content quality of your course materials; we can only guarantee the physical quality.
If you write a check to us on which payment is refused by your bank, you may be subject to certain fees besides the fees levied by your bank. The fee for a returned check is $25.00 payable in cash, money order or cashier's check (sorry, no personal checks accepted) at the Campus Store. You MUST make payment or provide us with a letter from your bank indicating their error within 30 days.
Failure to respond within 30 days to our request for payment will result in your check being referred to the Santa Clara District Attorney's office. Please help us avoid this step by taking the responsibility for your personal finances or at least contacting us to explain the situation.
